4. Paystack & Payment Data
All payment transactions on DaraLife are processed by Paystack. DaraLife does not receive, store, or have access to your card number, CVV, or bank PIN. These details go directly to Paystack via their secure, PCI-DSS compliant infrastructure.
What DaraLife receives from Paystack after a successful transaction:
- A unique payment reference number
- Transaction status (success/failed)
- Amount and currency
- Email address used for payment

5. Data Sharing
We share your personal data only in the following circumstances:
- Service providers: Logistics partners (for order delivery), email service providers, and Paystack (for payments) — only the data they need to fulfil their service
- Expert volunteers: If you request a consultation, we share your name and message with the responding expert
- Legal requirements: If required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of DaraLife and its users
- Business transfer: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred to the successor entity
We never share or sell your data to advertisers, data brokers, or marketing companies.
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with services. Specifically:
- Account data: Retained until you close your account, plus 30 days for recovery purposes
- Order data: Retained for 7 years for tax and legal compliance under Nigerian law
- Community content: May remain on the platform after account closure unless you request removal
- Health vault data: Deleted immediately upon account closure if you request it

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including:
- HTTPS encryption for all data in transit
- Bcrypt password hashing
- CSRF protection on all forms
- Session-based authentication with secure cookie flags
